Daniela Lopes Biography:

Runner up of a modeling competition at the age of 15, Daniela knew she wanted to be a model right from the start and not winning the competition did not stop her. Soon after she left the stage she approached her parents about the opportunity of moving from the south of Brazil to Sao Paulo, the fast paced city which serves as the capital of fashion in Brazil and the main hub of the country to export talent overseas.

It wasn’t long until the young aspiring model had moved into Paris, where she lived for six years until her move into New York. Daniela agrees that modeling isn’t easy, particularly in the beginning of the career, however the story was different for her, the first job she booked in Europe was a campaign for the denim brand Diesel and that was only the beginning.

Soon after that, Daniela had a successful show season in both Milan and Paris which lead to editorials for heavyweight magazines such as Italian Vogue, V magazine, Bazaar and Elle. Daniela’s career stayed on a rise with the help of photographers like Enrique Badulescu, Koto Bolofo, Greg Lotus, Patrick Demarchellier and Mario Testino. Mr. Testino was the sole responsible for a series of blue chip bookings that lead Daniela to a very successful contract for Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance entitled Light Blue; the image of Daniela’s face was spread all over the world from billboards to magazines and remained the only image for the fragrance for more than five years. Campaigns for other brands like Class by Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana and Philosophy di Alberta Ferreti followed as well as covers for titles like Elle Spain, Vogue Brasil and Vogue Russia.

Daniela has become an established name in the industry and currently lives in New York.
